Velvet Chair
I saw somewhere that another artist had made a sketchbook with Rives BFK paper, so I included some in my current sketchbook, since I happened to have some on hand. It's a printmaking paper and has a soft surface. When it's wet, it gets kind of fuzzy. This is good for intaglio but not so great for ink and watercolor. The drawings come out softer and more diffused looking, which is a nice change, but I don't think I'll use it again.

Damião, Thank you very much for your comment. I really appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteso. you can bind in one sheet of different paper into your existing sketchbook? How do you do that?
ReplyDeleteI do like the "fuzzy" (your word) quality of this--!
Yes, Celeste, you can bind in as many kinds of paper as you want. There's quite a lot of detailed information on how to bind books on the web. I can send you some links if you're interested.
ReplyDeleteCompliments! I have found your blog just today. I like your style.
